I want Advice for Building My First DIY Electric Skateboard

Hey everyone,

I have been researching for a while but I still feel such as there is so much to learn. I thought I am here for some advice.

I want to build a board that is good for commuting & can handle a few moderate hills in my area. Speed is not my main goal but I like it to be stable and reliable at around 25–30 km/h. I am thinking about a 10S3P or 10S4P setup. Is that overkill for my needs?
What is a good beginner-friendly combo?
Wheels and Trucks: Should I go for standard street wheels or AT wheels for versatility?

Thank you…

Hi !
English speaking riders might have an easier time on the neighbour forum https://forum.esk8.news

As for everything it’s a matter of compromises !
AT wheel will be more confortable but draws more current, so you get to decide based on the quality of the pavement

more cells in // means less current per cell drawn for the same speed/accel
that gives you the possibility to go for cells that are more aimed toward capacity than discharge and optimize even more the range
buit it’s weight, and money

you specs will be determined by the rate of the climb, your expected speed, the total moving weight etc …
